WATERING GUIDE
Water by observation, not by weekday
Indoor plants use water at different speeds. Light, temperature, pot size, root health and the potting mix all change when watering is needed.

Check more than the surface
Touch the upper soil, compare the pot weight and look for changes in the plant. A dry surface can still hide moist soil below.
- Lift smaller pots to learn their dry and wet weight
- Use a clean wooden stick when deeper checking is needed
- Do not assume drooping always means thirst

Water thoroughly when it is time
Use room-temperature water and pour evenly until excess water drains. Empty the saucer or decorative cover so the inner pot does not remain submerged.
- Confirm that drainage holes are open
- Avoid repeated small sips that wet only one area
- Return the pot only after excess water has drained

Adjust with light and season
A plant in cool, dim conditions generally dries more slowly than the same plant in a warm, bright room. Recheck after seasonal moves and heating or cooling changes.
- Reduce frequency when growth and evaporation slow
- Check plants near heaters more often
- Never use one schedule for every pot
